Italian football club Juventus has announced the launch of a capsule collection with OpTic Gaming for the perfect mix of sports and esports.
OpTic Gaming has broken the boundaries between online and offline by collaborating with Juventus. Their partnership, which was initially announced last month, has the ultimate goal of bringing closer the world of sports and gaming. The two brands have released a limited edition capsule collection to make fans feel even more united.
Juventus and OpTic Gaming have worked closely with Adidas to create a unique collection that includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories, combining the colors and identities of both brands.
The capsule collection is a part of the partnership that sparked between the two brands that already worked on specific activities live. At the start of April, the leading team behind Optic Gaming – Seth “Scump” Abner, Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez, Anthony “Methodz” Zinni, and Davis “Hitch” Edward – went to Turin to meet some of Juventus’ starting players and visit the football club’s training facilities.
Aside from getting to know players such as Weston McKennie and Fabio Miretti, the four had the chance to attend the game between Juventus and Fiorentina in Juventus’ own venue, the Allianz Stadium.
Aside from having activations with international esports organizations such as OpTic Gaming, Juventus is also investing resources in the Italian esports scene. The club has an ongoing partnership with Italian esports team DSYRE, fielding a co-branded team on both EA FC and Rocket League, two titles heavily connected to the football world. In particular, Juventus’ EA FC player Danipitbull took part in the eChampions League final, finishing in the top eight of the tournament.
