CS:GO Online broke a record for the first time since 2020

On February 11, more than 1.32 million people simultaneously played CS:GO. This is a record for the title – the last peak of 1.3 million online game could not overcome since April 2020. Statistics published on SteamDB website.

CS:GO online growth began in November 2022, and the biggest jump in popularity was in January, when the shooter’s average performance increased by 15%. Moreover, during the period from January to February 2023 the game was played by an average of 726-754 thousand users.

At the time of publication CS:GO is number 1 in the Steam’s most popular games by the number of concurrent players. On the second place is Hogwarts Legacy with 696 thousand users, which managed to surpass even Dota 2, which is played by 646 thousand people.

    I’m not surprised to see CS:GO at the top of the Steam charts. This game has always had a dedicated fan base, and it’s clear that people are still willing to invest time and money into it 🙂

    It’s interesting to see that Hogwarts Legacy has managed to surpass Dota 2 in terms of concurrent players. I wonder if this is just a temporary surge in popularity or if it’s a sign of things to come

    I think the recent growth in popularity of CS:GO can be attributed to the pandemic, as more people are spending time at home and playing games. But regardless of the reason, it’s great to see so many people enjoying this classic shooter
